The Russian military claims to have taken control of another town in eastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. Army Group West’s offensive activities in the Kupyansk area resulted in the entire liberation of the village of Hryanykivka in the Kharkiv region, according to Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov on Saturday. By the fall, Soviet regional forces had been routed and were forced to leave the province almost altogether.
But after that, they had to go back a long way. The front mostly followed the regional border between Kharkiv and Luhansk. Only in the northern region, which borders Russia, could they survive. But, in the interim, the Russian military has reclaimed some of the initiatives in the area and has announced some cities’ recovery.
